My Lit Circle Book Recommendations
Please note that any book you choose must be an actual book. No electronic books. Why? Read The Shallows: What the Internet is Doing to Our Brains.
*Interested in alien invasions? The Fifth Wave and its sequels.
*Like sci- fi? Sylo... the first book in the series is a little slow, but boy, it picks up and is an amazing ride! One of the few times I can say each book gets better. Illuminae was great from page one. Check out the format in which it is written. Truly unique. On the Edge of Gone was thought provoking.
*Want a little fluff? Don't Even Think About It, Since You've Been Gone, To All the Boys I've Loved Before, or For Real.
*Sports fan? Hoops , Swagger, or Hit Count
*Prefer a dose of reality? Love him or hate him, Bill O'Reilly's Killing... is a great series! Greatest Stories Never Told and Lies My Teacher Told Me are fascinating tales you never knew. And of course, Outliers is interesting. 13 Hours was also amazing. All We Have Left, Goodbye Days, and The Hate U Give are not nonfiction, but they read like it!
*Graphic novels more your thing? The Odyssey and Boxers and Saints are visually stunning.
*Looking for adventure and maybe a little romance? Definitely check out Red Queen, Rook, Passengers, and The Wrath and the Dawn. I couldn't put them down!
*Interested in World War II? The Librarian of Auschwitz and Salt to the Sea are both based on true, unbelievable stories.
